Leicester, NY, August 1, 2000 – CPAC, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPAK) announced today
that its
Fuller Brush subsidiary has signed an agreement with Publishers Clearing
House to actively promote the complete Fuller consumer product line on PCH’s
newly launched web site, www.pch.com.
This agreement reinforces Fuller Brush’s strategy to promote its consumer
products via marketing partnerships, including the Internet. The teaming of
PCH.com and FULLERDIRECT.com unites two brands that, for decades, have been
promoted in homes across America through traditional direct marketing methods,
and are now being repositioned for the digital age.
"We expect our first year sales via PCH.com to be significant,"
commented Norbert J. Schneider, President of The Fuller Brush Company.
"This agreement is an outstanding opportunity to generate new sales and
brand awareness for Fuller Brush, to reach new, younger customers, and to
re-connect with former Fuller customers -- without conflicting with our existing
distribution channels."
Publishers Clearing House, best known for its multi-million-dollar
sweepstakes, recently launched PCH.com with the goal of being the premier site
for winning and great deals on the web. According to Andy Goldberg, President of
Publishers Clearing House, "The new PCH.com is very consistent with the
values PCH has always represented – big cash prizes, unbeatable deals,
magazines and quality brand name merchandise – backed by top-notch customer
service."
As the nation’s leading sweepstakes marketer, Publishers Clearing House has
awarded more than $158 million in prizes and giveaways. Since its successful
re-launch in December 1999, millions of consumers have already visited PCH.com
to register online for Publishers Clearing House’s marquee sweepstakes
giveaway. On August 24th, Publishers Clearing House will be awarding
another $1 million prize "live" on the NBC Nightly News with Tom
Brokaw.
